The nearby beach

Pull up a lounge and relax

At sunset

On a stormy day

Just another day in paradise...

Taken when the tide is out, from way out in the shallows

Folks have been requesting photos of the nearby beaches.  Just about a mile and half down the road from us is a lovely little restaurant on the beach called Banana Bay.  It is run by friends of ours Toni and Dani and it features a typical lunch menu of fish fingers, burgers and fries and that sort of thing.  It is situated in one of the most beautiful spots on the island, in my opinion!  It would not be hard to wonder where an entire afternoon disappeared as you sit beneath the palm trees sipping cocktails and enjoying conch fritters!  When the tide is out, this beach is distinguished by shallows and sand bars that go out for hundreds of yards.  It is a very special place.  (Note:  I did not take these photos myself, but am grateful for these photos taken by others who have visited)

Beautiful Vacation Rental in Freeport, Bahamas

This apartment is half of a duplex - we live in the other half.  It is very spacious with an open plan living/dining/kitchen area, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a study/extra bedroom, screened back patio, laundry room with washer and dryer.  The master bedroom has an en suite bath and walk in closet.  The second bath is shared by the other bedrooms.  All bedrooms have A/C and space heaters.  Fans and all linens are provided.
The full kitchen has a gas stove, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and all dishes, etc.  You have a large separate back yard.
The house is a mile and half from a beautiful beach and a local beach side restaurant.  It is located 15  minutes from the center of town, reachable by the car, which is included in the cost of the rental (we will hash out insurance details).  It is a Volvo station wagon.
Since we are located on the eastern side of town, we are just a mile from the Casuarina bridge, which takes you to East end, home of some of the country's most beautiful, pristine and secluded beaches, Lucayan National Park and the famous Bishops bar and grill.
Freeport is home to many activities - water sports, nature/kayaking tours, lots of great restaurants, shopping and night life.
Our house is perfect for those who want to be away from the usual touristy traffic - very quiet and peaceful, but close enough to hop in the car and be there in a short drive.
Plus, I am a massage therapist and I live right next door!  How convenient is that??

My husband and I will welcome you and make you feel right at home.   We have two dogs and two cats.  They are all friendly and love attention, but they live on our side.  The cats may come and visit, but you can keep your screen door closed if you are not up for feline visitors.

Write us and tell us a bit about yourselves!  We would love to have you.
